Adam's Filling Station

November 14, 2018

Happy Wednesday food truck nation!

Boy do we have a treat for you today! What do you get when you mix a cook with an incredible imagination? Adam Feigeles. Adam owns one of the best food trucks here in Miami, Adam’s Filling Station. We had the opportunity to stop by Adam’s food truck to try some of his best dishes and let’s just say we were very impressed. From working in the restaurant industry to owning his own restaurant and now owning his very own food truck, Adam has pretty much done it all.

Adam pretty much had decided what he was going to do back in his sixth grade where he wrote in his yearbook that one day he would own his own restaurant. From that day on Adam worked tirelessly to make that a reality. In his early career, Adam, only 20, was offered a managerial position at a local restaurant, The Beverly Hills Cafe. That is where Adam said he learned the most. He absorbed everything he could from the business aspect and what it took to work in the kitchen. In 1994, Adam decided it was time to do his own thing and opened The Filling Station in Downtown Miami. The Filling Station stood out from the other restaurants in the area because there wasn’t one specializing specifically in gourmet burgers. He then designed his menu with different burger creations topped with some unique, unexpected toppings.

In 2018, Adam decided it was time to take his burgers on wheels and opened, Adam’s Filling Station. The food truck lifestyle has always appealed to Adam and let him do what he loves most, make delicious food while interacting with his customers. He customizes his menu by changing it up depending on where he’s going to next. Adam’s ingenuity really shows when you visit his food truck because he’s always thinking on his feet and can create dishes on the spot to make requested dishes.

This food truck holds a soft spot in our hearts because who doesn’t love a good burger?! You can find Adam serving all kinds of burgers with some crazy flavor combinations you would never think to put together, like their famous Nutella Burger. Yes, you read that correctly… Nutella Burger. This one of a kind creation comes with a perfectly cooked burger, topped with caramelized onions, peppered bacon and drizzled with Nutella. Speaking from personal experience here, do yourself a favor and go try this today!

Adam is known for making “the best tots in town”. He’s making tots covered in unexpected things like jambalaya, home-smoked pulled pork, home-made chili and a decadent jalapeno beer cheese sauce. The list goes on and on. He prides himself on the fact that he makes all of the sauces himself. We got lucky enough to try his “Filly Tots” as they are his most popular dish. Warning, these tots are not for the faint of heart! Adam takes a pile of perfectly fried tots, smothers them with shaved rib eye steak, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions and plenty of melted mozzarella cheese. He then drizzles their signature garliky mustardy mayo. We’ll take two of those, please!

Adam’s Filling Station has proven themselves by winning “best wings in Miami”, Sargento Cheese’s National Cheeseburger Contest for their Burgatti burger, etc. We want to thank Adam for taking the time to share his story with us and cooking us his favorite dishes. You too can catch Adam’s Filling Station all the way from central Florida to the Keys.

Until next time,
